Coach (mental trainer), trainer and author (books, CD, DVD, tutorial on line training).
Born in Tours, France, January 29th 1969. As to my business background, I became a teacher for a national hair franchise in 1991.

After 6 years being responsible for staff and department formation I specialized in supplementary mental training for firms and sports people.
I have been coaching and teaching since 2001.
In 2002, I founded my own company.

With regard to sports, I have been cycling and marathon running competitively for over 10 years. A very nice education…
Nowadays, I practice (and sometimes teach) the martial arts - principally Aïkido and Iaïdo. A new way since 1993…

My search for new experiences drove me to Santiago de Compostella, Spain in the summer of 2002 to make the Pilgrimage.
Some wonderful memories…

My expertise is based on my experiences in the martial arts, my professional life, sports accompaniment and sophrologie.

Master NLP and coach certified by the French NLP Institute in Paris, sophrologue and indirect communication practitioner (Ericksonian
communication), I am a sports educator too (BEES first degree TC : French state certificate).

COACHING
Who is concerned ?
Coaching focused on the person :
Anyone who wants to :
- evolve and mature,
- develop one's potential and one's performances,
- make the necessary changes in order to reach a higher level of well-being and/or a desired evolution (stress, time, emotional  management, relational conflicts, ability to speak in public, self trust...).

Coaching focused on the situation :
Recommended for adaptation to change (new products, restructuring...), team cohesion (integration of a new member...), the
success of a project, crisis situations, managerial conflicts...

The philosophy :
Two hypothesis guide and lead the coaching process :
- The way we communicate with ourselves and with others determines all what we achieve in our life.
- Everyone has the inner resources required to make the changes one needs in order to blossom, develop one's potential  and fulfil oneself.

Unfortunately these resources are not always within our reach since they often are buried in our unconscious. The coaching enables
these resources and abilities to flow back to the conscious.
It also allows to acquire other resources (learnings, knowledge...) and aims at releasing our potential, pushing boundaries away and
making ourselves autonomous.

The " ordinary " man exploiting only a tiny part of his brain's potential, the advantage belongs to whom has a different mental control...

What is coaching ?
Coaching is to accompany the emergence and development of the
potential and know-how of individuals in a company, in high-level
sports or in one's personal life.

What is a coach ?
It isn't a trainer who transmits tools or methods or an adviser who brings expertise nor is it a psychotherapist.
It is an adaptability facilitator and a teacher of autonomy (accompanies the coachee so that he finds the inner resources to reach his
objectives by himself).
He is successively :
- guide (he creates an environment in which the coachee feels secure and a work frame),
- trainer (he encourages and stimulates),
- teacher. (he teaches how to learn),
- mentor (he is a model),
- sponsor (he acknowledges the worth of a person at identity level and enables the expression of this potential),
- awaker (he awakes the person, through his benevolent presence, to the freedom to be oneself).

Coaching and the coach's deontology :
- Bound to professional secret.
- Account may be given to the hierarchy but only within the limits established by the coachee.
- It is forbidden to exert any kind of influence abuse.
- Obligation of means (create the ideal conditions), but not of results (it is the coachee's responsibility).
- Clarity on the methods utilized.
- Refusal of a mission is possible if the coach doesn't succeed in validating the coachee's request.
- The coach must be supervised by his peers.

NLP
Neuro-Lingüistic Programming

Programming :
this computing word highlights the interest shown by NLP in our unconscious programmings, in the way we think, in our mental processes written in our neurology. We construct them during our life and they condition our behaviours.

NeuroLingüistic : This word indicates the interactive relation betweenlanguage and the neurological system. Neuro, for the central nervous system. Its function is to retain and structure all the perceptions we register through our  five senses.
Lingüistic, for the verbal and behavioural aspects of communication.
NLP is thus a methodology enabling to act on behaviours using languageas a tool. It is a model which generates communication, learning and change.

A little history…
NLP was born in the mid 70's in California.
Its creators, J.Grinder (lingüist and psychologist) and R.Bandler (psychologist, mathematician and computer scientist) study, among
other subjects, the work of experts widely acclaimed for the quality of their results (Erickson, Perls, Satir).
They identify the strategies behind their success and create techniques to decipher these highly efficient know-hows. They thus perfected a series of models to transfer these skills into ourselves and to others.

The philosophy behind NLP :
Some basic postulates :
- Each of us has the inner resources required to evolve, meet objectives or solve problems.
- There isn't any failure, only a feedback enabling to learn and change.
- Whatever behaviour has a positive function.
- Our vision of the world is not the world.
- Each model of the world is unique and some are more helpful than others.
- It is better to know " how it works " than " why it doesn't work ".

Modelize excellence…
Modelization allows to establish a very precise map of a skill and then transfer it to somebody who wants to acquire it, while identifying the smaller changes to be made.
Thus has NLP enabled the deciphering of the communication " gurus" intuition.

Loads of practical applications
You are looking for :
- performance (company, high level sports).
- efficient communication (teaching, management, negotiation…).
- operational and durable solutions (learning, health, help relation).

From a professional standpoint, NLP is useful for those who have a job in which communication and change are of great significance.
From a personal standpoint, it is useful to whomever wants to improve his relationship with himself and towards others, develop his expression abilities and release himself from the blocks which are slowing down his evolution.

Concrete and particularly efficient means Solution-oriented rather than problem-oriented, the common denominator of all these techniques is their efficiency. There is nothing surprising about it, since it is for this very reason that the persons who used them
served as models!

In short :
The ultimate goal of NLP is to enable eachone of us to blossom and fulfil oneself, in one's professional as well as personal life, while respecting oneself and others.

SOPHROLOGY
SOS : harmony
PHREN : spirit
LOGOS : science
Science of the consciousness harmony.

Birth of sophrology
The word sophrology was created in 1960 by a Colombian neuropsychiatrist, A. Caycedo.
Outraged by the use of certain therapeutical techniques he considers inhuman (electroshock...), he envisages other means such as clinical hypnosis and phaenomenology.
Then he travels to India where he studies yogic techniques for two years, meets Tibetan monks and ends his journey in Japan where he becomes inititated to Zen.
From these trips stemmed this new science of consciousness opened to non-medical professions by Caycedo in 1977.

What is sophrology ?
This humanistic approach which studies human consciousness is a practical restructuring method  based on corporal as well as mental relaxation techniques.
Its essential aim is inner blossoming and the positive transformation of one's existence.
It is based on the postulate that body and mind are one.

Sophrology covers 3 fields :
- Therapy
- Education and prevention
- Behavioural.

Different applications :
Sophrology offers training techniques enabling us to reduce our internal tensions and open an inner availability suitable to our lives.

Development of the person's potential :
- Management of emotional expressions, psychosomatical symptoms, stress (profession, exams, sport, birth, illness...)
- Development of creativity, concentration, memory, intelectual tonicity, learning capacity, of the presence state : " here and now ".
- Opening and development of the consciousness
- Dynamizing the vital potential
- Optimizing sexual communication…

For whom?
Sophrology is, above all, a process seeking the person's autonomy.
All potentials of the person are taken into account :
CORPORAL - PSYCHICAL - EMOTIONAL

Its applications cover a wide spectrum of sectors e.g healthcare, education, sports, companies, both in group and individual sessions.

HYPNOSIS
ERICKSONIAN HYPNOSIS

A little history…
Hypnosis is the first change technique in human history since there is written evidence of its existence more than 3 thousand years ago (Egyptian tombstone of Musès).
This universal phenomenon was christened : " Hypnosis " by J. Braid in 1841.
After a very dirigiste period, his practising is transformed by a newcomer namely the American psychotherapist : M. Erickson.
A far cry from music-hall hypnosis, an authoritarian and manipulatory mockery, Erickson introduced a philosophy of action leading to results that would have been impossible to achieve through more traditional methods, both towards others and oneself.
Erickson was dyslexic, colour-blind, had difficulties at recognizing sounds and underwent two attacks of polyo myelitis. He definitely knewwhat learning and re-learning mean. His techniques stem from his own successes.

What is Ericksonian Hypnosis ?
It is a " philosophy of action " based on the belief in the ability of the human being to develop the solutions he needs.
3 main fields :
- hypnosis : which uses modified states of consciousness to lead to a change in health or human evolution.
- Conversational hypnosis or hypnosis without hypnosis : uses the tools of hypnosis, without any formal induction, in what could be called a simple " conversation ". It is commonly used in state-of-the-art communication : Coaching, teacher-training...
- Ericksonian communication : also uses the tools of hypnosis (but without modified state of consciousness) as well as other tools making this third aspect the most " strategic ". Extremely flexible, it leads to amazing results in therapy, coaching, education, management, negotiation...

Heal first
The first goal is to recover one's health (either psychological, psychosomatical or physiological),  since one can only build on solid
foundations.

Then grow up
The second goal is to improve the quality of life and communication and to evolve, humanly speaking…

The unconscious
It stocks remembrances, experiences and profoundly influences one's behaviour.
It is perceived, acknowledged and used as a " great loft of resources ", both positive and unique.
We have known for years that hypnosis is an extremely powerful method to communicate with the unconscious.
Indeed, in a hypnotic state, the latter is a lot more receptive to suggestions i.e. ideas being proposed to it so that an action be
envisaged.

Is the hypnotic state natural, normal ?..
Yes. It is a natural and ordinary state that everyone uses each day.
Actually, during the day we go through different states of hypnotic consciousness (we fall asleep, we wake up...).
It even seems that it is useful and necessary to ensure our mental balance is maintained.
It is Erickson's " common everyday trance ", which appears when we run away from the present, when we are " in a dream ", absorbed in a novel or a movie, sometimes even while we are driving... As we all have this natural ability, we can all enjoy the benefits of Ericksonian hypnosis.

Is there a risk in using Ericksonian hypnosis?
It has to be emphasized that it is based on profound respect of the person, otherwise it would be impracticable.
As such, as a phenomenon, it is perfectly harmless.
But if it were inefficient, you would run no risk at all. Every acting tool can be used " properly " or " badly " and thus be favourable or
unfavourable to the person.
So don't put your unconscious into anybody's hands.
